Sponsored Coaching: Life Coaching Package.
Dear Client!
Welcome and congratulations! You are here because someone believes in you. Your sponsor (a Boss, a Mentor, a Friend…) is providing you with an opportunity to expand your experience and expertise in your professional and personal life. You’ve just won the jackpot. Below you will find a brief explanation of the coaching process. Please read it carefully and complete the Coaching Agreement to indicate your commitment. Please do not fill out the sections pertaining to Sponsor.
Roles in the Coaching Relationship:
The International Coach Federation (ICF) defines these roles as:
Client: The “Client/Coachee” is the person(s) being coached.
Sponsor: The "Sponsor” is the entity (including its representatives) paying for and/or arranging for coaching services to be provided.
Coach: Provides confidential coaching services to Client and interacts with Sponsor only to inform of Client’s attendance and of Client’s willingness to participate in the process along the way. Coach can also agree to facilitate updates and meetings between Client and Sponsor at regular intervals, per their request.
Conflict of Interest: A situation in which Coach has a private or personal interest sufficient to appear to influence the objective of his or her official duties as Professional Coach.
The Client and Coach Relationship:
Identify, clarify and create a vision for the Client’s professional and personal goals, while simultaneously bringing value to the purposes of the Sponsor.
Coach and Client get clear on where Client sees himself/herself currently in that vision and what it is that he/she really wants.
Coach takes Client through a process designed for their individual self-discovery, to align Client’s goals and actions with his or her talents, skills, values and beliefs.
Coach commits to providing tools and accountability while Client commits to being open to, and participating fully in, the coaching process. Coach asks powerful questions designed to help Client discover his/her own answers and actionable plans.
2. Provide strategies and plan of action based on Client’s goals, beliefs, personality and vision.
Client and Coach meet weekly to co-create an actionable plan to help foster client accountability, increase productivity and meet goals.
It is not the role of the coach to act as advisor or consultant, rather to help Client uncover their own best course of action and to support them in that endeavor.
Client and Coach meet at regular intervals with Sponsor (90 days is recommended) to discuss progress and to assess the effectiveness of the coaching process according to Client, and as it relates to the professional goals Sponsor has for Client.
Coach adapts program accordingly, as needed.
The Sponsor and Coach Relationship:
Coach maintains open line of communication with Sponsor to ensure Client is regularly attending sessions and is demonstrating sincere effort in participating in coaching sessions.
Sponsor agrees to communicate any concerns to Coach regarding Client’s progress, with the understanding that the content of Client’s sessions are confidential.
A meeting of all three parties may be called to address any concerns any of the parties may have, with coach acting as facilitator. Coach does not triangulate communication between Client and Sponsor, ie: does not deliver information or messages between the parties.
